Reactors
Reactors are designed for chemical reactions under defined conditions while withstanding mechanical, thermal and chemical loads. When highly corrosive process media are involved, tantalum protects the surfaces whose corrosion resistance is critical to reliable operation.
Tantec manufactures steel reactors with explosion-bonded tantalum cladding. We also supply agitator systems comprising tantalum-clad shafts, agitator blades made from solid tantalum, tantalum-clad or explosion-bonded material, and matching tantalum connecting elements. This creates an integrated system in which the reactor, its internals and the corrosion-resistant material configuration are tailored to the specific reaction process.
