COVID – 19: Preventive measures by Tantec – Information for suppliers

Dear Sirs,

Transparency and continuous exchange are central cornerstones of the partnership with our suppliers. Therefore, it is important for us to inform you about the measures taken by Tantec in view of the worldwide spread of the corona virus (SARS-CoV-2). The aim of these measures is to protect our employees and to avoid negative effects on the supply chain as far as possible.

• We assume that you will do everything in your power to prevent bottlenecks in your supply chain. Nevertheless, should there be foreseeable delivery difficulties, we request to inform your respective Procurement contact person immediately
• In case of deliveries, especially by truck from affected crisis areas, care must be taken to ensure protection especially during unloading and loading. For truck drivers from affected crisis areas, protective equipment (e.g. in form of masks, gloves, disinfectants, etc.) is therefore issued at some locations and must be used

• Temporarily, stricter regulations apply for access to the office building or for the provision of commissioned services on Tantec’s premises. In this context, we request that you contact the respective person on site to enquire about any access restrictions or requirements

• Our employees are also requested to avoid contact with suppliers – especially in the case of deliveries from affected crisis areas – outside of unloading and loading if possible

• This means that, until further notice, no visitors will be received who come from one of these defined crisis areas or who have been in contact with people from a crisis area

• In addition, all Tantec employees are currently instructed to refrain from business trips to crisis regions affected by the spread of the coronavirus or to come into contact with people from these areas

Information on the current crisis regions can be found on the website of the Foreign Ministry of the respective target country. We would like to assure you that we at Tantec are paying the utmost attention to this situation and are focusing all our efforts on the smoothest possible cooperation with our partners in order to keep the impact of the coronavirus as low as possible.

Après des années de planification et de travail de soudage minutieux, les experts en tantale de Tantec ont réalisé début juillet une commande dont ils sont particulièrement fiers : l’échangeur de chaleur pour un client étranger, appelé avec respect “Moby Dick” par les artisans, est le plus grand échangeur de chaleur en tantale jamais conçu et construit. L’échangeur de chaleur combine avec succès la planification des ingénieurs concepteurs et le savoir-faire des spécialistes de la production. Avec une longueur d’environ 7,1 mètres et un diamètre de 1,2 mètres, il a un poids à vide considérable de 15,3 tonnes. Avec ses 1766 tubes en tantale, il offre 426,5 mètres carrés de surface d’échange, un record du monde.

Cette année la conference se tiendra du 26 au 30 Mars 2017 à la Nouvelle Orléans en Louisiane, USA. C’est un évènement NACE International qui regroupe plus de 6,000 ingénieurs, scientifiques, chercheurs, techniciens, fabricants, inspecteurs et autres professionnels venant de plus de 60 pays à travers le monde.

Cette conférence regorge d’études techniques et d’échanges de connaissances ainsi que de nombreuses possibilités de contacts avec des experts de l’industrie, et est axée sur la prévention et la réduction de la corrosion.

Tantec will exhibit at the Chem Show 2015 in New York City. It is one of the top trade show events in the Chemical Process Industry showing the newest innovations in chemical process equipment and technology. Same as last year, Tantec GmbH is again participating in the Christmas package initiative for kids in need, initiated by the foundation “Kinderzukunft” located in Gelnhausen.

Tantec’s employees are packing gift boxes with things like clothing, candy and toys. These packages are distributed by the initiative “Kinderzukunft” among children in countries such as Bosnia-Herzegovina, Rumania or Ukraine. Tantec will take over the costs for transport.
For the first time, this year packages will be distributed to refugee kids here in Germany.

On September 1st we greeted our four new trainees in the jobs external trade merchant and construction mechanic.
As an innovative and expanding company Tantec invests in young and qualified junior employees. This is why we offer attractive apprenticeships and jobs with perspective to young people and career entrants.

As a worldwide operating company we give our trainees all necessary knowledge and skills that they need for a qualified working life. Besides a motivated team, a personal contact person is available for our trainees throughout their whole apprenticeship.
A vocational training at Tantec means security, diverse work in a qualified environment and development possibilities with good future perspectives and a high quality of training.

The spokesperson for the federal government in Hessia, Michael Bußer, has awarded Tantec as the company of the month in July 2015. The company, which specializes in the manufacturing of equipment made from Tantalum, supports among others the youth work of the air-sports clubs in the Main-Kinzig region. State secretary Michael Bußer especially commented on the effort of Georg Raab, the managing director of Tantec GmbH: “With your commitment you are decisively contributing to the support of young people in the region. You give them a chance to develop a passion for the air-sport, to experience community and to undertake responsibility. With your support the clubs are able to enrich the life in the Main-Kinzig region with offers like the summer camp for young aviators, and different festivities like the “Drachenfest” or the “Flugplatzkerb”.”

The 500€ Tantec got as a prizemoney from the award went to the Gelnhäuser Tafel e.V. which collects and distributes food to those in need.

Again Tantec has been an exhibitor at Achema 2015 in Frankfurt.
